Bullet Proof Oil Cooler, Install on high mileage 6.0

Hows the kit now with a few more miles on it? Did you also do the bypass filter add on? Have you seen a need for the cold weather package?

Im curious to see how the kit is holding up and how many miles the OP has with this setup at well! If he puts up to 120k miles a year on it, he should have 30-40k miles racked up by now!

Its been kinda slow winter for this truck i think we figured the other day it had around 20k on it, Only had one small oil leak on the pressure release plug inside the old factory filter housing which caused a substantial oil leak on the ground, We pulled the motor out about two weeks ago to do head gasktes again (thanks vr/bo) got it all back in and he should be heading back out monday to get some miles on it. We did not do a bypass filter just the filter that mounts behind the bumper. And so far we have seen no need for the cold weather kit. The Driver is tickled pink with the way the cooler is performing~!!

Got about 60-70l on it now, No cold weather kit, the only issue we have now is oil temp runs really hot because the fan wont kick on to x temp and the coolant doesnt get that hot. Once the fan finally does kick on it cools it right down though, Going to work on a manual fan switch
