i brought this up on the nation a while back, and did not get much of a response. Now that my interior is back together, and my HP goals are almost met, i have been considering swapping the center console out for a 150 console, and doing a center shifting super duty....Not sure if it has been done befor, but does anyone have any thoughts.

I know some people like it some dont, being that this is more of a play truck at this point, i feel like it would be a neat set up.

Thoughts?

not really sure how i would go about it, i need to see if the 150 console will even fit between the seats first then im sure some custome bracketry would need to be made, and a custom shifting linkage as well. And theres also how to mold the console into the factory dash so it looks factory....

What if you used a combination of the 11+ super duty center console with the f150 shifter pieces. I would think you could mix the 2 fairly easy since they are pretty flat and simple in that front section and the 11+ super duty console should blend fairly well to the dash.

thats a possibility as well, i think those new consoles are really exensive at the moment, but i could take the one out of my brothers truck for test fitting....not a bad though either...

yea expensive for sure from what I have been seeing. Too rich for my blood.

For myself I have thought a bunch of times of doing a full center console (mostly audio related) and on a cheap budget, but what I had thought would be using 2 pieces of MDF probably half inch something thin, and use it just for sides up towards the dash piece and get it cut out to blend to the dash and round over the top edge. Then flat surface between the two with it angling up the last bit by the dash, then fill the open space with the drop in cup holder/tray out of an 05 (or so) GM truck center console. Then blend it up to an 08 center console lid and interior storage piece. Should be able to mimic the shape of the 08 console enough with the wood to make the top blend in and give it an OE look once it is either wrapped in vinyl or leather, or maybe some texture spray to mimic the factory plastic finish. Then the rear of the console is obviously a rear fire subwoofer.

Love the idea. Been wanting to do this in my current '11, but I'm wondering how to get past all the electronic non sense and make it work properly.
I think it'd be one clean mod if done properly!

I also have this done in my truck. I went the cheep/ easy way. I built a fiberglass box with holes for gauges up front then the shiffter, an on the inside i hide my amp an stand alone for my trans. Sprayed itvwith glue andno raped in carpet. Not the cleanest setup im shore but i like it.

B&M megashifter without the base, built the console out of MDF and covered with carpet, color is off, but trying to match 10 year old carpet is hard. This was a 6 speed truck converted to a BTS auto. PCS handles the real shifting. The OD cancel button is in the left side of the T handle, that is wired to an LED on the quad pod trought the PCS. Let me know if this helps. Also stuck the AIC in there cause I could. Three gauges are really trans temp, transfer case temp and diff temp, not what you see in the picture.

Don't remember what I did for the linkage. It was a combination of things. I used the factory arm from the 4R100, and a standard carb snap over ball adaptor to go to that. I think I had to make a threaded adaptor to fit in the snap over and tapped to fit them B&M 10-32 cable end. I found something in my junk drawer to hold the cable to the tranny case. The 4R100 has a long detent between 1st and 2nd, So the shifter works perfectly from park to 2nd. I was never able to get the shifter to put the tranny in low, If I want low to stay locked in I just go to manual mode on the PCS and hold it there. I'll try and get a picture of the linkage in a few days, working 6 15's for the next few weeks.
