I'm slightly unfamiliar with how the upper fuel bowl functions, but does it have a check valve in it, that doesn't allow fuel to flow if there isn't a filter in it? Or will fuel still flow without a filter ?

Reason I ask is I'm in the process of gathering parts for putting a 6.7 pump in my truck and was hoping to run both 6.7 filters and get rid of the filter in the upper bowl, without having to do a complete regulated return right now.

I pulled the stand pipe out when i put my air dog on, it ran with it still in there but it was recommended to me by the selling shop to remove it, so i did.

Yeah, there are 2 torx bit bolts. I believe they are t20. Pull those out and then the stand pipe comes out and there is an o ring under it.

Wow, awesome. Here, all along I thought you needed a filter in there otherwise it wouldn't flow. Thanks for the insight!
