First post on PSA here, spent a lot of time on the org, kinda found out there is a lot of rim/tire talk over here so I thought I would give it a shot!

This is on a 06 f250.
Trying to figure out what kind of lift I will need to clear some 355/40r22 (33x13.5) on some 22x12 rims?
After some reading and talking to people, I was told you can clear some 33x12.5 on 12 wide rims with a 2in level and some minor trimming, I'm really trying to avoid lifting. Want to keep it as low as possible. Comments questions and opinions welcome! Thanks all!

First...13.5" is 345mm, not 355. Just to clarify.
A 11-15 will clear 33x12.50's on 10.5" wheels at -24 with just pulling the fender liners back. 12 wides at -44 would take at least a couple inches lift and some minor trimming to fully clear.
On your 06 with much smaller fender wells and 12 wides with no lift? Good luck and please keep your flat bill on straight and make sure your Monster logos are visible. LOL

Well, thank you for the warm welcome to the community...
The rims would be a 22x12 with a -44 offset.
I was not stating I was trying to avoid any lifting at all, just looking to see what I need to make it work. I would like to avoid doing a 4"+ system. Was hoping I could get away with a 2.5" level. But if that's not possible, then I would be changing my tire/rim choice. Also, thank you for stereotyping me based upon a question.

Stereotypes are generally based in reality. LOL
And the little LOL implies I was just joking around.

I don't see clearing them with that small of a lift on that body style truck without major cutting.

20x12 with a 33-12.50 on my wife's truck. Stock suspension, trimmed the inner fenders and front lower air damn. No rubbing at all for street driving as that's all this truck does.

If it was a 08+ truck I'd say a 2.5" would do it, your probably going to have to do at least a 3.5" though since the 99-07 trucks have the smaller front wheel wells.

Thank you guys for all the replies. I do see the fender wells being a big issue here...
The reason this question arose is, is because Nitto is coming out with a 355/40r22 in the trail grap. I love the idea of a 13.5/14 (355!) on a 12 wide since it won't look so stretched compared to a 12.5.

I like the idea of that tire size so much I might have to get them then just throw them on and decide how much lift I need after that.

That will be more like a 33/14.00/22 just a heads up for measurement purposes.

The wit of the tread on that tire will be a game changer on how much lift you need. A 12.5 tire is one thing. 14" wide? The width of the tread on that tire will be a game changer on how much lift you need.

Right, that's what sounds like the be dilemma is going to be.. Some 12.5 like the toyo mt measures to a 13, but we are talking a true 14in wide. I guess I may end up being the test dummy on this one since the tire will be released on July 1st. It's one of few (any?) 33x14s on the market I believe ? Correct me if I am wrong

I ran a 34/14.50/20 on 20x14 wheels and it took 6" of lift on my 08. And even then it still rubbed a little.

12" wheel is no trouble on a stock truck. Jeremy ran a 33x13.5 on 20x12s on a stock 00 superduty. No leveling kit. Truly stock.

That tire is wider though. B warning has it lined out for you. But again he is telling you that works based on a 12.5 tire.

My suggestion is to get some 33x12.5 and enjoy not having to do a bunch of crap to fit tires.

Leaf spring offset is different than an '05+. Id say a 2" level will clear with some trimming. 33s and 22s are too rubber band for my taste though.

Yeah I was gonna do a 2" level originally with a 33/12.5. The only downside is if I go 33/12.5 the tire option I have is the terra grap g2 (haven't heard "great" things about it) and the 33/14 would be the trail grap which is more intriguing since I wanted a bit more aggressive tire.

Yea. We all know that. I mentioned an 07 truck specifically that is running that setup to illustrate that it works. I said Brian had it all lined out in terms of what it took.

Not sure what the point was in your previous post.
