Cold Pipe Upgrade, Now I'm throwing Codes. What Gives!?

I have the MDP kit no issues with codes. It removes the throttle plate.

Question? I’m new to the diesel life and have a 2017 6.7. I just installed a mdp and replaced the “throttle body” and it threw a code. The only thing I may have done different was I didn’t didn’t disconnect the batteries while doing the swap. Any help you can offer would help. Or should I take it somewhere have the code deleted?

If you are going to delete an electronic part of the system, you need a tune that knows about it. Otherwise it'll throw codes and probably run poorly. If you don't want to tune, you'll need a stock replacement kit and reinstall the part you took out.

So I can i just do a tune or do I need to to do everything else?

As long as the tune is written for the components you have (or don't have) that should be fine.
