Coolant reservoir leaking?

Got out of my truck yesterday and could smell my coolant. Popped the hood and saw coolant spewing out of a crack in the little nipple where the hose clamps on... Got that fixed today and then noticed that it's still leaking from what appears to be a crack in the bottom of the tank. I'm getting ready to replace the tank now. So I was just wondering if this is a common problem? And why it happened. It had the factory tank in it so I don't believe that it's ever been replaced. Thanks in advance.

Had that happen to mine... first the plastic where the hoses meet.... then.... bottom of tank....
Think mine was from removing and installing too many times. I'd get pissed and just cram her off in there... lol

Yea I just hope it's not something major causing it to build up too much pressure

Get a new degas bottle cap and see what happens. Best place to start imo.

I just replaced the tank and all. Seems to be fine now. Hope it doesn't happen again

I had my tank crack on the back side right along the heat welded joint. I was chasing that coolant leak for a while before it dawned on me. :doh:
