I happen to know all about crying things, but I also know that crying any kind of spring is a Major No-No and the spring pressures and rates won't be anywhere near the original ratings, nor will they be reliable anymore.

You really need to quit with your bs. You lie about workung for Ford and you speak like a high school level educated armchair engineer. Springs of all types have been cryo'ed for years to increase the servife life tenfold and to reduce surface fatigue issues. We were putting cryoed springs in power plants back in the early 00's to reduce service needs on wear items. Springs seeing 8-900 degrees and 40-150k lb seat pressures.
