Dash bezel swap? Is it possible?

Hey guys,

I've got an 03 XLT and I was wondering if a lariat dash out of an 05 would bolt up? I know 99% of the other parts on these years are interchangeable but I wasn't sure about the dash.

Has anyone ever done it? If so, was it easy? Hard? Let me know. I've already got a double din deck so any cutting for the radio portion will be fine.


Just want to hear your guys' thoughts and suggestions.

You mean just the section that goes around the gauges, radio, and heater controls? No it won't. The headlight switch hole can be modified, the clips on the left side of the steering column line up, all the others don't. And the air ducts are more square on the 05 bezel. You would have to swap the whole dash for it to work.
