Buddy with an 06 dodge has them in front of the wheel well on the passenger side of the bed. Real tight spot but they are really concealed.

I was going to put them on a piece of diamond plate bolted to the bed cross members but it is just too small of an area

There isn't enough room like right behind the transfer case above the driveshaft and exhaust?

im getting a set soon and plan on mounting them either inside the front bumper/on the the inside of the grill tucked away

or under the bed if that doesn't work, but you should be able to frame rail mount them

does your spare tire fit/normally run in the spare tire spot under the box? if not then mount the horns right there. out of the way and easy to access for what ever reason.

I have my horns mounted where my spare tire was and the compressor and tank up in the right rear corner mounted to the hitch frame.
