If you could find a decent paint to survive those temps I don't see why not. But I have only seen vht paint in flat black. Although I haven't really looked to see what there is for options.

Ive got black, blue, and red vht header paint. I wanna do an all silver motor(for leak detection) and blue uppipes/turbo. The header paint is flat is the only drawback so it'll eventually stain. We have so much salt in the winter that anything not painted will rust.

It doubt it would live. Brake calipers get hot but not for hours on end.
Are you referring to brake caliper paints working environment versus.header paints.environment? Otherwise, huh?

there is a guy on compD that just painted his exhaust manifold blue, he said he has had good luck with it holding up on headers and motorcycle exhausts before. proper prep is key to a good install though.

Have you tried using custom tuning?

Working on a custom tune from H&S. They told me that they havent tuned a trans for a f450 yet. The gears, 4.30, and way higher than their targeted trucks. 3.73, or even up to 4.10, but those usually have 35s or taller tires. So, they are setting me up with a custom tune to try, but, I will be using the SCT in the mean time.

I figured I'd have a hand at building custom headers. Retails for $20.00 just to cover parts. Ordered and shipped same day. Can adapt to any custom up pipe package on the market. Ability to place waste gates between exhaust ports for ultimate back pressure control. Get them while they're hot. $20.00 price reduction for first 20 customers.
