But as for running rough in the cold my truck does all of the things previously stated. Itll skip and chug and i give it the slightest bit more of throttle and it takes off like i mashed it, then itll kinda bog down like the turbo isnt boosting. once its warm shes happy though.
This only happens when i cant plug it in. Is there any damaging affects from the 3 minutes of drving the truck in this condition?
Not really, I usually let it warm up for 5 minutes or so in the driveway at least to help smooth it out though. Just don't get crazy with the pedal until it comes up to temp a bit. Just baby it until it does.
If the trans is down shifting the up shifting repeatedly I would ASSume that it could damage the tranny
It's not like it does it all the time, just when you roll into a hill or something and it starts bogging down and decides it needs to unlock the converter and downshift a gear, and then takes off like a rocket.
