Yep sure looks like they self destruct when they fail.

Have you noticed all the new motors come with the aluminum oil pans instead of plastic? I like that better. After I've put a motor in them they have never been back.

Yeah I think they stopped with the plastic oil pans sometime in 2011

Honestly though, I never ever saw a problem out of one surprisingly. The plugs sucked to take out.

Seen that happen = easy customer pay job

We have seen a few plastic ones crack out and seep oil

I love the 6.7ls and 6.4s
I love it when a customer drops off there fleet truck a 6.4 or 6l
And says iv had my 6.7 for a year now and never brought to the dealer yet.

I love 6.4s there fun and a blast to work on they actually pay pretty good
