dropping fuel pressure at half throttle

Just installed a powermax, 155/30 Maryland injectors, new Ford hpop, blue spring and 6.4 banjo bolts.
Fuel pressure drops down below 30psi when into the throttle about half way....haven't even tried full throttle. Psi stays 58-60 cruising down the road and if i accelerate fairly slow.
Was told by a few different guys (pretty reputable guys) that the stock fuel system should be enough flow for the 155s......so is my HFCM getting bad? And if so should i just do an airdog or fass? Or what are my options here? Open to ideas.
Thanks.

Regulated return from strictly diesel. Then if that doesn't work, new
fuel pump or a fuel system.

Agreed with the reg return and I after the headaches I've had with airdog I would advise you to look into an A1000 setup or fuel lab pump. I've never ran a fass but Ive been told they are no better than airdog. Unless you go with one of the lift pumps that supply the stock pump but if your stock pump is on the way out that would require you replacing the stock one as well... Do some research on here most guys are going with somthin other than AD and fass. Those units just haven't held up very well with the kinda psi that is required.

MPD says all they use are the new FASS ( well not new, but the redesigned motor units ) pumps and have no had issues.

Hell you can even do a 6.4 pump feeding a 6.0 or even just run a 6.7 pump.

The a1000 is a good route, but if you have a failure you may be SOL if you're on the road.
At least with an OEM pump setup, you'll be able to go to any ford and get back on the road.

I thought about doing a 6.7 pump, but there is a guy in town that really likes fass and will give me a decent deal. Do you guys know if you bypass the factory HFCM when using a fass??

My customers have had good luck with the new fass pumps. Haven't had one complain yet. Also the reg return will help and is recommended. Shoot me a pm if you want some pricing.

Why not just try a new OEM pump first? Mine was doing exactly what your is doing with stock injectors, soon after it took a total dump. But if your going to upgrade anyways then a new oE is pointless unless your just looking to buy some time untill you decide on a new system.

I planed on a fass or airdog set up anyway, so I guess having my HFCM go out is a good excuse to get one. I went with a fass titanium 125.
