E-250 Van Headlamps on SD?

I was driving in this morning and noticed that the newer E-250+ have a similar headlamp to our 08-10 headlamps, but w/out that lame reflector. Does anyone know if they will bolt in perfect? they look like a direct replacement. Thanks!

I think they are physically smaller. Looked at them before but never measured

of course this comes up right after I pull a 6.4 out of the shop.... post up some pics with measurements and I can compare them to a van.... pretty sure they are not the same... close, but not the same

I'm 99.9% sure they don't work. Iirc, a member on another board looked into it when he was painting his headlights. I think he picked up a set from the junk yard and tried them out. I also seem to remember them having different part numbers from ford, which would be the first red flag.

ah damn, that would have been nice. yea i thought they were close but no cigar, but wanted to check. i'll get some measurements of mine here at lunchtime SoWoCo. Thanks!

I just measured mine. The sd lights are 14" tall an if you wrap a tape measure from the side of the light closest to the grill to the fender is also 14"

This is why they won't fit. Ours is 14".

I wonder I'd you could retro that into our headlamps? It looks like 2 separate bulb reflectors.

When I go back to work tuesday I will see if I can acquire a set of E series lamps for scientific research.
