I'm still in the middle of building up my 4R100. I'm considering installing a fully splined E4OD forward drum because I've read that the 4R100 forward drums have a shorter splines and due to drag racing and sledpulling some people complain of the splines stripping and breaking the drum. Do I have to do any special machining to get the E4OD drum to fit in my 4R100 or will it just fit right in? thanks!!

Thats what is in mine... I cant recall if its a E4DO or a C-6 foward drum, but the last tranny I broke was just that, the splines stripped out.

Direct fit I would also stake the cup plug or tap it and install a grub screw. If the cup plug pops out will have no forward gears.
