I was going to get rid of my EGR tonight but I didnt have time to run and grab some extra coolant.

Would it be ok if I just took the exhaust side loose and plugged the manifold to run the pyro then used the cover for the intake side and put it on the port where the exhaust enters the EGR untill I have time to get everything together.

Or would it be best to make a couple extra plates and get rid of the pipe going from the EGR to the intake too. Id rather not have to make any plates because I have something else to run on my mill while I'm working on this but I dont want to risk hurting my motor either.
