Just like it says. Auto meter gauges less than a month old . Pos and negative wires connected with the ones for trans temp gauge trans temp gauge still works. It's all off the same ground too. Was goin down a dirt road and it started wiggin out. Either reads 1100 degrees or 0 connections are good and wires are clear, no cuts. Any ideas or a way to tell if the gauge itself is bad

sounds like your sensor took a crap.

check all your wires/connections then try again. if it still does this then its your egt probe

Autometer replaced my sensor no questions asked when mine went bad.
Give them a call.

I know you checked your connections. My nuts on the back of the gauge worked loose and made the gauge do exactly what you are saying.

Good Luck!

The only nuts I haven't checked are the one right off the thermo. I will cut off shrink tubing tomorrow before I go.. was driving down a dirt road when it quit me so loose connection makes more sense

Ok I have 11 volts to the gauge. Checked two nuts to see it was open and it wasn't. If it was the probe wouldnt it show that it was open ?
