EGT when DPF on

What is the best way tonread EGT when EGR and DPF are on the Truck? Do i have absolutly install
A probe? Cause Livewire ts don't read it

I read mine with an Edge CS monitor. I don't like the giant CTS.

Egt on the engine? Or in dpf?
And what temp do you read ?

I think it was labelled EGT1 in the menu. It was the one in the exhaust manifold up top. The option to read the DPF was there but I never looked at them before I deleted the truck.

Can't say. I have the smaller CS. I don't like the giant CTS.

The CTS2 and the CS2 will both read it. The new ones read the same PID's as the older CTS/CS.

They read the EGT out of turbo or the 4 sensor of the exhaust?

Is this probe preturbo? In other words is there a need to install a probe to get a true (safe) egt reading or can this just be done with an Edge product?

I had already. Just wanted to make sure. There have been other threads talking about how the edge stuff wouldn't do the manifold.
