The ect in the cooler not being connected will limp a 6.7. And make it run bad as well. It thinks egr is blocked or stuck open and derates. I guess thats why nobody deletes them

I believe plenty have deleted the egr coolers.

It's all about wheel speed and torque.

From the 6.7 Diesel Bible: Engine Block Heater
The engine block heater is located on
the right side of the engine block. The
block heater uses 110V AC to heat
the engine coolant in cold weather
climates. Use the engine block heater
must be used whenever ambient
temperatures are at or below -23°C
(-9°F).
The engine block heater is standard
on every engine. The power cord is an
optional accessory.

I haven't looked at my truck yet to see if it is there.

Block heater is not standard. I have installed several of them

Stupid documentation.

Is the install as easy as it looks. Thread element into block and install cord? How much of what type of fluid do you loose?

Not much to it, remove plug from block and install block heater element. If your fast enough you dont loose that much coolant, or you could drain the cooling system and take your time
