I relocated a factory EGT into my EGR block off plate and plugged it into the EGRT connector, now with a mini maxx I would be able to monitor it.
However, I have an SCT X3. Has anyone else come up with a good way to utilize the stock sensor? I would like to be able to plug in and watch EGT when I'm towing.
I know that pulling the EGRT reading through the OBDII will not show the correct temp due to differences in the sensors, but does anyone know if you can change the transfer function on a stock PID in the programmer?
I'm going to play around in SCT advantage and see if it's possible.
or perhaps using the Torque app?
If all else fails, I can calculate out a few temp vs sensor voltages points and just watch voltage for a general idea.
