Factory spare tire lock?

I have the whole wench assembly with the lock and from my 01 in the garage. My 05 didn't have the locking type. I thought about switching them out.

should have had one but the lock is just an insert at the end so it may have been removed ?

how do they cut a socket LOL ?

I personally went to the dealer they came out with a set of them ( can't remember how many ?) tried them until one fit

went back inside and they either ordered one or had one I don't recall and I was on my way ,, this is a big dealer and they could not just look it up by VIN otherwise I am certain they would have V.S spending 15 minutes in the parking lot ..

i used a busted 14mm deep well socket when i couldn't find my key. i took the whole mount and winch out afterwards.

I had the dealer remove the lock from the my truck...I just cranked it up and down with the normal rod then without the lock key cylinder
