front axle question

Its been a while since ive done one and cant find any tech on if there is suppose to be a thrust washer on the driver side axle shaft between wheel bearing and axle. passenger side has one but cant remember if the short side(driver side) didnt have one or not because it came in without it. If anyone has any info that would be great

Best I remember both sides were identical when I rebuilt mine. But its been awhile.
