OK so I'm getting older but what's the trick to getting the fuel tank coller back on?
Had the tank out on my old 2000 several times and had no problems getting it back together.

For some reason on this truck it want's to cross thread every time.
Any idea's?
Thanks

I had the same issue with mine. I think it was from the tank sitting in the sun and warping slightly. To get the lid back on it took two of us a fair amount of time to force it back into place. Basically just needed 4 hands and lots of patience.

That doesn't sound like fun. I don't have any help so I'll have to figure something out.

+3 for the hot water trick. I just plug the sink and let it fill with hot water and soak the ring for a few minutes. Should go right on.
