Getting back into diesel

I'm new to this forum and am getting back into owning a diesel. I had an '02 SuperDuty Excursion that was suddenly retired by an inattentive tractor-trailer rig. I miss my truck and am shopping for a replacement one. The options I'm considering are either an '03 7.3 (last ones) or an '05 6.0 (got some of the bugs worked out.) It will be a daily driver again with some occational towing. Will tune it once it arrives, but looking for some input as to which basic platform. Ideas???

Thanks. That's where I'm leaning right now. Easier to tune for mpg than a 7.3.

03 has PMR's. Kinda limits performance level you can reach. I vote 6.0 also.

I would take a 6.0 over a pmr 7.3 nine times out of ten....welcome
