Has anyone tried getting scratches out of glass? My windshield and drivers window are pretty bad. I've seen some kits available, but not sure which one or if any work.

I haven't done glass but I have done plastic... I'm betting a hedlight restoration kit would be worth a shot.

They were pretty beat up before I started. I don't know how well this kit would work on glass because it's much harder. Depending on the depth of the scratches you just might have to start out with a courser grit sand paper.

A guy i talked to once said to wax the window, and while the wax is still wet to go over it with the finest steel wool you can get. Looked like it worked pretty good to me.

Glass is not going to heal with a plastic restoration kit .. matter of fact try the steel wool trick since your replacing the glass anyway ,, LOL

any glass coverage on your insurance ?

That the thing, this is a new windshield and my insurance didnt cover it. Its scratched to hell from both wipers and even my ice scraper. I called the company that I got it from and they pretty much told me that glass is glass and it shouldnt scratch that easy.

That tv show trucks had a glass polish episode years ago. It was a powder you mix with water and turns into a peanut butter looking stuff. He used it to clear up wiper scratches in a 60's chevy windshield and it looked awesome.

I saw that, but I wanted to make sure it worked before I bought it.
