That's where good tuning will come into play though. There are a lot of forged motors out there surviving with proper tuning

Gear head has done all of my tuning. He tunes my brothers truck and my friends truck with the 250/200 and s468 setup. He also tunes Matt miers truck which is still a stock forged bottom end motor that has made dozens of low 7 sec passes and has made 1220hp on the dyno so yes tuning is the key

this keeps getting repeated.

GH tunes were in mine, and several others, that sent the rods out.
not saying anything is wrong with the tunes just that the combo can kick the rods out
so claiming the tunes are 'safe' with that combo is proven false.

gtx4294r it is a good towing and dd turbo. What i didnt
find was how long they had been run, or how hard
People pushed them reliability The egt was
really good for it. Bp was pretty good. What im having
a hard time finding anything on the 369sxe.

The 369 is new so no major data will likely be out there. There is a recent thread in this section of a S369 installed with some feedback and videos.

Im very happy with my 42 (its got about 50K on it), but they are always a tradeoff when you start to go a little bigger. For me, its a tad big for towing (you can get caught under it and you must backshift), but I live with it because its a lot of fun when empty. Backshift, some rpm and the egts go right down.

that is the question that spits rods out of the block IMO
I attribute my destruction to low rpm driving with the s467 (with a 1.10 housing)

It may have a bit to do with the amount of fuel being slammed in there.

I know tuning has alot to with it, im not wanting for it to slam hard
Im just asking how many rpm before they light up. My
38r lights up fast but i dont rag on my truck. The reason
I asked when towing i want the turbo to stay lit up enough
To run above charger not below it.

I just watched a YouTube video on a
467.7 and man does that thing spool
fast. Still going to look up the other
on anything i can find on them.

Type in 467.7 it was a dodge Cummins i think 5.9
It might have been a 7.3 not sure right now.

I just had another thought will my fuel
economy go down if i swtch to these
other turbos? Right now im getting
20mpg.
