I'll check for turbo shaft play tomorrow and see what it's looking. Correct me if I'm wring but side to side or up and down play is no good but front to back play is normal?
Other way around actually. The up and down will be slightly taken up with oil pressure
Excessive up and down is no good though either. If i remember correctly, ford spec is like .025 or .030 for up and down and .015 or so for in and out.
This is the other morning. It hasn't done it as bad in a the last few days. It seems more bluish today than before and has only been after I left off the accelerator and get back in it then clears up. I haven't had time to check turbo shaft play yet but I did notice a black residue, probably oil, that had seeped out between the two parts of the turbo housing
