not sure if your thinking about it but pull the bolts and the big washer from the flex plate and check for cracks while you have it out...

Cut the bolts between the block and manifolds. Then you can spin the studs out. Round up a good used set of manis. We put them back together with the ford gasket and stainless hardware.
Might as well get a new dipstick tube while you're there.

not true..it can happen even at stock HP..
Get the dipstick tube adapter welded to the oil pan. No sense in repeating the faulty design.
Plus its about $75 just for the nut and adapter. Maybe more in todays world. If you can get the old'n apart.
