Hood scoop/cold air on turbo?

I just bought an old style Boss 429 hood Scoop for the 250. I was wondering if i cut the hood out for cold air if it would be bad to cool the turbo?
Loss of power maybe?
Will the cooling effect hurt exhaust flow? I've read that ceramic coating helps keep the heat in to aide in exhaust flow/spooling.
Ideas,thoughts please.

It won't have any affects at all. Good or bad. The only problems I've have with my ram air hood is the sun beats down on my degas bottle and oxidizes it.
