Hot Tune

I want to know why we cannot tow whit hot tune.
Is only for the High EGT? What are the other reason to not tow whit performance tune?
Cause my 2014 truck whit gearhead performance tune never go over 1100 f whit my 13000 lbs fifthwheel. And the hot tune are better for economy.

For now i don't read it but u will buy a cts2 to read it . Maybe after my vacation i will delete it.

If you are talking DPF on tunes you'll be fine, may see an increased frequency of regens.

When deleted it really opens up the motor and a hot gearhead tune will send EGTs out of the acceptable range pretty quickly on a long hill. Heck, mine is chirping (warning and defueling) on the tow tune (gearhead), grossing 25klbs.

My shortlist of solutions for this is the nolimits intake, intercooler and boost tube. Going on before the next trip.

I,have a dash daq 2 and it reads around the egr. Love it so far for reading everything.

Going to see how egts are towing 14k to CA. Temps will be 113degrees

Do you do anything to the Dashdaq to get it to read? I tried my Dashdaq 1 on my 15 and it won't read anything.
