I did, it still does not awnser my question. Is there something in the trans that can break or commonly breaks that would destroy the converter?

I would add a Sonnax/Tricumulator shift kit at the very least. At around $50 bucks, it's a good piece of mind to possibly help your trans live a little longer.

I did this to my truck, and an O-Reillys heavy duty TC. Did it about 80 thousand miles ago. Tranny is still doing good. TC is getting weak. Engine mods have been there for about 60K miles now.

I have never been accused of being nice to my truck.
