I have a customer with 450,000 miles on his 6.0. Head gaskets and a couple injectors have been done. That's about it.

My truck has 163k on it.

My 2005 Race Truck has 47,000 original miles. Kinda gives you an idea on how much time i've spent working on it. Not because of breakdowns though. LOL

To remove the rear lifters on each side dont the branch tubes coming from the hpop need removed? Are those removable with the engine and tranny in frame? Looks to me like the rear cover needs pulled to remove the branch tubes but I've never replaced lifters

Yea, but wouldnt you rather do it while its apart or have to swap in an entire motor when the one you sank all the money into is now ridden with metal

I was just asking not trying to tell you you're wrong. But most of my customers won't be willing to pay for removing the engine when there's no "known" problems. So if it fails after then that's there problem
