The first 2 6.0's I have seen this issue with I saw the cam was toast... so we just starting qouting out complete engines

113k on my 04 bought it with 63k on it 4 yrs ago. i've put a heater core in, cleaned the turbo, blocked the egr, put on a coolant filter, mbrp 4" exhaust, deleted the kitty, icp sensor, ficm re-flow, cai, gearhead tunes.

i guess its been an ok truck.....

176k on our Excursion. It's been ok so far, but does need some TLC to get it were i want it. Needs a front end rebuild, front wheel bearings, new trans fluid, rear diff fluid, new carpet, some bodywork, misc interior pieces.

I would also like some stock or mild injectors to cure stiction problems and perhaps boost fuel economy, and also studs.

last truck had 165k when i traded it in, now it has 187k. I did an oil cooler/egr delete at at 142k, stock headgaskets made it til 180k, tuned since 133k. I know the new owner of the truck now, he beats the living hell out of it. Still has all factory 8 injectors

Dually is at 110k, bought it last july with 95k. It literally is all factory short of exhaust and a tune. I beat the living hell out of it and it just runs

bought mine in oct 07 with 49k on the clock, its sitting in the driveway with 176k on it now. Total repair history has been 6 injectors at 92k, oil cooler, EGR delete, studs, and various updates at 113k, FICM repair at about 135k and some oil changes along the way. Been race tuned since 78k. Transmission got the fluid changed out once, couple sets of brakes, some u-joints and a front hub. All in all not too bad in my book for nearly 180k on a 8 year old truck.

Body is starting to show some signs of cancer already, but I guess that's life in the nort.

Bought mine a month ago at 67,250. EGR delete and straight pipe at 67,800 and now has 68,500 on it. Ficm, egr and oil cooler replaced under warranty by previous owner. New ball joints at 65k and still original brakes


Dad has an 03 with 64k. 1 bad injector and 2 alternators

Bought mine in 08 with 37k on it. Its got 143k on it now. Studded it about 10k ago. Other than that a stuck set o calipers.

Gaskets were ok when studded too

Just turned 146K on mine. Did head studs, new head gaskets, machined the heads, new injectors, new Sinister Diesel EGR, MBRP exhaust at 140K. Did I need all of that stuff at once? No, but since the EGR went tango uniform I figured get it all done when the cab was off. Tomorrow the Beast gets a new set of shoes, it's the third set since new, switching back to OE rubber, Continental ContiTrac TR. Less noisy than the Kumho Road Venture tires I put on at 70K.

246k on my wife's. PHP FICM tuning, Gearhead tunes always on SLR, Egr delete, stage 2 MTW, 175/75s, no studs (no studs, seeing how far it can make it. It's been 15k so far and those ain't easy miles lol)

Bought my 2005 6.0L 3 years go with 178k on the clock... Recently rolled 210k... Had oil rails crap out 2 weeks after I bought it... Then 2 injectors and the fan clutch, new oil pump due to STC fitting leaking.... IPR... MTW stage 1... On my 3rd set of Y-pipes....injector crapped out after studded, deleted and oil cooler replaced, new oil cooler replaced under warranty within 1k miles....FICM started failing so i replaced with 58v and had it tuned by PHP....there is prob more I'm forgetting...

alright update: The white/orange truck finally smoked the stock trans at 189k, 50k+ miles of tuned abuse, and not sure the fluid was ever changed, id say that's pretty good LOL

just saying... this guy had 155k on it, and it was in the top 5 6.0's I have ever driven.... tossed in one new injector and raped ape...
