How long should it take to swap out a hpfp with the cab on. Any good write ups?

My buddy has an 08 with 210k+ miles that's throwing p0088. Probably gonna try a sensor first.

If you have never done it before, I would suggest splitting it up over two days. It should only take around 8-10 hours but it sucks royally working with the cab on.

Yeah, it sounds like fun. I was wondering if it could be done over a weekend. Sound like that's doable.

Anyone know what the Ford house charges for labor?

Pull the trans out and do it from underneath. Leave the turbos on.

Torque the gear on the bench.

Best done with a hoist.

If its not tuned there is a calibration update for that code that widens the failure parameters.

Done it cab on turbos on but you have to do it from underneath, after pulling the trans. It sucks slightly less than doing it from the top. Only for situations were cab removal is not possible like someone ignored the upfitter manual and built a bunch of crap over top of the cab lol.

We do them cab off and leave turbos on. Obviously doing them from up top requires removal of turbos. Never tried removing trans to do it but I would venture a guess that it is a royal pain in the ass.
