HS Black Maxx Question

I recently bought a 6.4 truck and it has a black max installed. If I need to unplug the unit from the OBDII port am I able to start and drive the truck or will it only function when its plugged in?

it will run fine. Whatever power level the tuner is on when you unplug it is what it will stay at.
