I've read it a few times on the interet, but would their be coolant on the top and bottom of the EGR valve? I saw some "wetness" on the top but it looked more like CCV oil than coolant...

Not sure because I never checked the valve. My EGR cooler had actually been "deleted" at the time (welded up), and had a pin hole that was leaking around the weld. When pressurized it was just a tiny stream coming out, but would lock the motor completely down, and gave me the occasional cloud of white smoke while driving.

FINALLY got everything together. Pulled the glow plugs and turned it over a bit... The whole passenger side is filled with water... Going to fix her up and hope for the best.

Anything I can spray in the cylinders to help clean the water out and help lubricate? WD40 perhaps?
