Idea for CCV relocation

So I'm sick of fighting the air intake system to clear the crankcase ventilation "doghouse" on top of the left valve cover. It is simply in the worst possible spot for the intake. So I have seen 4 options. Modify the "top" of the CCV doghouse. I like this because it is inexpensive and effective, my only issue is controlling warpage so we don't create a leak.

The second I would purchase Side Action Diesel's billet "notched" CCV which looks fabulous , costs a bit much (about $225) and isn't currently available. E mailed them to see if they plan to make any more.

The 3rd option I just thought up today. When the valve covers are swapped L to R, the CCV doghouse goes to the right side which is great, shouldn't be an issue to hook up hose. However, the oil filler ends up on the back of the left valve cover creating another issue.
So my thought was to make a new oil fill port like an early 6.9 IDI. There was an oil filler standpipe that bolted to the came spot as our HPOP gear retainer bolt access cover. Now the swapped valve cover oil fill issue is gone.

A 4th option would be a factory 7.3 valve cover with a different oil filter location, has anyone seen one?

I'm not too keen on welding on the double layer valve covers.

Ideas?

I to plan on eliminating the doghouse the next time the valve caver is off. I'm going to weld a patch over the front hole and a thin wall steel 90 degree elbow in the rear hole. Then attach the hose form the catch can to it instead of the doghouse.

If you cut a 2" square piece of light gauge steel and buy an elbow, it would coast little to have someone weld it.

what about unscrewing the dog house and turning it around? Or is the rear of the dog house going to interfere with the intake?

I definitely do not want to weld on the double layer valve cover. Not impossible by any means, just want to do something cleaner.

Has anyone considered the idea of relocating the filler to the HPOP bolt cover like an old 6.9?

That is a pretty cool piece Billy. I like sanitary things like that. My only question is (and mostly because it has been a looong time since I has the valve cover mounted CCV apart) does the stock CCV box have any primary oil separator or baffle in it? Don't want to take a step backwards on separating the oil out of the blow by. If I were to use that adapter, then I would machine a nice little blank off plate for the original CCV holes. No welding.

Anyone have any thought on my idea for an alternate oil filler location? (standpipe coming off of the hpop bolt cover)
