I honestly have no desire to ever go back. The diesel/playboy/automatic weapon world nationals could be going on, with free entrance, and I would still not want to go. I would go, but I wouldn't want to drive through NO. LMAO

What part of New Orleans did you go to?? I'm not speculating, I live an hour away, so I know it a little. That place is the butthole of society. I've been all over the country, hell, I spent a year in Iraq, and nothing compares to the sick feeling I get when I drive into New Orleans.

I think the only people that ever want to go to New Orleans are the ones that have never been...

I like it over there. I wouldn't live there, but I certainly like visiting. I always have a good time.

My granny lives in Harvey; the Gretna ferry takes us across the river. We usually stay up towards the French Quarter etc. My mother and her family are all from NOLA, we've seen every part of it. While I wouldn't want to live IN NOLA, I love visiting.

My family is from Louisiana.... It's not that bad!

:)

Exactly. My granny lives close enough that we can go when we want to, but far enough away to avoid it if we want to.

Meh, agree to disagree. I hate it, but that's just an opinion.

Yeah, I am, but it wasn't when I was there for my photo shoot. LMAO.

Last time I was there, other than to file the police report, my truck was broken into, they attempted to steal it, and they stole my gun, stereo, jackets, and more....

That would put a sour taste in my mouth to. This back and forth conversation makes it sound a lot like detroit. There are a handful of OKAY areas, but the rest should be burned to the ground with the people that live/ thrive there.

I'd go to Vegas for the NFR or the National Reining Horse Association's High Roller Futurity, only reasons I'd go.

Vegas and NO have zero appeal to me although I'll take NO over Vegas.

Vegas was fun, but we also don't do all the gambling and stupid chit.

NOLA is fun, but we know where to go and not to go etc PLUS we see family. I'd still take NOLA over Vegas.

See - I also want to go to Vegas - never been. It would be ideal to go out and hit up SEMA as well as see a good college buddy of mine.

Detroit, Vegas, New Orleans. 3 places I've been to and don't care to go back.

I liked Detroit so much I left a truck there.

Went to Vegas, couldn't afford the T-shirt, only will go back for SEMA

New Orleans, I have to go there every two weeks for work but I fly in and drive out. Been to the quarters many times and don't really care to go back. I did however enjoy the river walk. The singing fudge people was very entertaining, and you can walk around with a drink in your hand. Ok... New Orleans isn't that bad after all if you know the places to avoid. And do not let the "locals" stop you to talk. They somehow want to charge $10 for it.
