Intermittent Problem

From time to time when idling the little battery light on my dash lights up, then when you give the truck rpm if goes off. Sometimes it goes off at 900rpm sometimes it goes off at around 1500 rpm. Not every time it's idling does this happen, very intermittent. I was thinking alternator or regulator but not sure because it doesn't always do it. Has anyone else encountered this problem. The truck is a 04 6.0 with no mods. Thanks

One or both alternators are failing. I had same issue

What did the alternators cost you?

They were under warranty. If it was me I would pay a shop to diag the problem and fix it myself

I have an extended warranty, but I have a $100 deductible. If I know it's going to cost over that I'll just take it in pay the $100 and let them mess with it.

Yea. Alternators are like 350 from ford.

I paid $280 last year from the dealer.
