I asked our Alliant rep about this when I saw you posted it. He said they do not rebox ford pumps.

I called them today. I've heard like 3 different stories now. So idk what's what.

Just as an FYI. R.A.E sells to a lot of auto parts stores. Namely Advance Auto and Auto Zone. They're cheap made remans with junky parts from china. Buy a Alliant or NEW pump from some one. More power to us in the aftermarket world but somethings you need to not look at price for.

Thank you for your inquiry into Alliant Power products.* We do not currently remanufacture the 6.4L high pressure fuel pump.* The product we offer is the same remanufactured unit offered by the OE.* They do not share their remanufacturing process or component replacement rates for this product so we are unable to confirm or deny if the control valves are new 100% of the time.

That's what I got in an email reply.

Who makes a new pump?

Almost all their products are injectors and injection pumps for diesels, that's their main specialty. Autozone and Advance Auto carries none of those products whatsoever.

Maybe for gas parts you're right but for the diesel application your story makes no sense. Just saying.

They carry them through BWD line. Just like Pensacola diesel also sells to BWD and Napa's Echlin line. I've been doing aftermarket and performance lines long enough to know where most of the stuff comes from for O.E.M parts. Modified parts is a little different but I have tons of emails from China based companies that want to sell the internal parts for the K16 and other pumps. If they found me a small shop in Florida I can bet someone else is buying and using.

I have had bad luck with the ford remans i put in 7 this year 3 were bad out of the box... I never tried alliant i was told they were remaned by Continental same supplier as ford. But my dumb question isn't the pump still used on the maxxforce 7? If the pump is still in production why are new pumps so hard to get?

I thought the $1600 International pump was all new, but some say even those are the same remans...

the guy at the international parts counter told me they were reman. I really would like to find source for new pump

An actual new, built from the ground up fresh pump doesn't exist. After Ford ended the 6.4 Powerstroke super duties in 2010, Siemens quit making k16 HPFP's sometime after that.

It sounds like once Alliant Power starts receiving fresh PCV's, their pumps will be the way to go.
