Looking to put a ladder rack on my truck I don't know if I want to weld one or buy a store bought one. I definitely want a rack that goes over the cab and it has to fit over my cap but I don't want it to be wimpy or stupid looking so I'm trying to get ideas.

Bump

I'm in search of a good universal fit ladder rack that won't break the bank, mainly will be used to haul over sized lumber.

EDIT: I know I could make what I want, but I have no clue where to get steel pipe at around here.

I was going to get a kargomaster rack they seem pretty stout and they got some really good reviews by contractors.

all ladder racks mount inside the bed, or on top of the bed. your cap kind of is in the way for that.

if your goin to keep it, you will need to custom make one.

you will have to make the supports that go from the inside of the bed to the inside top of your cap.

then bolt through your cap to tie in your ladder rack to those supports.

about the only way you can keep your cap, and have a ladder rack.

Just some steel plate between the cap and the bed rails.
