I think I'm at the point I'm going to need to pull my cab I was wondering if anyone has ever lifted a cab by running straps through the windows and over the cab and use a fork lift to pick it up as I don't have access to a lift

I did it many years ago on my 6.0 before our shop had a lift. We used 6x6 beams of wood through the window openings then used straps hooked to a winch over a beam in the building. If you have a big enough fork lift I wouldn't be scared of it.

Did you have to pull the headliner or any trim pieces to prevent damage

Nope. Just rolled down the windows and stuck the beams through and up she went.

I'd pad the beams and then have at it

Well we have a decent sized tractor, if I ever need to lift the cab I'll try it

Here's an old picture I was able to find on my computer.

After seeing the picture again it looks we opened the doors and stuck the beams through. Instead of going through the windows.

That's how we were going to do a truck with wood and straps through the doors. Ended up being able to use a post lift instead though. Had no reason to think it wouldn't work then and now I see that it would've.
