Grossing approximately 22k lbs. 800 miles to central Florida. 100 miles in, first big load on a trip. Up steep grades turbo sounds like a rattlesnake thats about to come through the hood, and ipr hits 80 quick pegging 95-97 at one time! Im running heavy tow tune from php stock library. Should I be ordering a billet compressor wheel and hpop?

Empty I had a thread before wot ipr was 65%. Showed weakness but didnt know it was this bad. At 75mph on flat ground right now its only 35%, but steep grades are bad. Hpop or a try another tuner with the hydra?

Please provide more information about your truck. How many miles, condition? What does the turbo wheel look/feel like? Movement? Turbo isn't supposed to sound like that and likely needs more than a wheel.

Many threads on stock SD pump performance complaints. Lots of worn/leaky/oil hungry split shot injectors, leaking orings, general hydraulic system condition that all look like pump problems. Pump could be tired, but theres more to it. Troubleshooting is needed.

Never had the turbo apart. Motor has 77k on it, truck has 133k. Turbo flutters at WOT but not on my daily drives as I putt along. I noticed after posting my truck didnt downshift until I manually took OD off. Fluttering quit and ipr dropped to 50% instantly, this was on steep grade. I am waiting on a call back as to why truck wouldnt downshift at half throttle, steep grade, with heavy load. I dont know if thats a truck issue or tuning. Still seems like hpop is weak or another problem is there though.
