Low compression 7.3

So its been about six months and im tired of looking at my truck sittin. Last time I touched it I found out I had 100 psi in cylinder 5. So is there any other things I can check or test to see if its something simple because I don't really have the coin to blow on the truck with a baby due in 4 months. I dont need the truck but if i can fix it and keep it id like to but if it needs a new motor Im gonna say screw it and unload the truck.

Any particular reason it was low on that cylinder?

Craigslist or junkyard motor and be done, don't even worry about opening it up.

No such thing as a cheap engine im my area. Everyone wants 2500+

Pull both rockers and put air into the cylinder, this can tell u if it is a bent valve or sealing issue. If u hear air coming back through the intake or out the exhaust u have a valve problem. If nothing,more than likely its compression if it will hold 100 psi, but this is something u can try.

I am interested in the truck and I also have a motor if you are interested in it.

I know your in So Cal but possible a cheap way to get it from Portland down to you, maybe a member here making the trip or something?
