so I am fixing up a 03 f250 for my son and was wondering if anyone has lowered the rear of one by just yanking out the bottom leaf. and did you have to adjust the pinion angle after? I think its only going to drop it about an inch. it looks to me like it is just an overload.

we are going to finish the body work this weekend and are painting the bottom of the truck, bumpers and wheels black. unless we change our mind again and paint the wheels silver LOL
thanks

Shouldn't be a problem. Many people have done it. Replace the u bolts though, with shorter ones.

I removed the overload spring and one more on my single cab and it sat almost level. Just slightly higher in the rear.

No need to replace the u bolts. Stock ones are fine. I need to check my pinion angle still, but it doesn't look bad.

I suggest just leaving 3 springs in there and it will be just right and will ride a whole lot smoother.
