After my weekend experience, I wouldn't do anymore than a chip probably.

You think you won't mind when she blows, but when it happens, you just want to cry.

Oh, trust me, I'm going to mind !
I'm only looking for a stronger daily driver.
I had my race tune deleted as well.

I'll continue looking for a forged long block too. Cheapest so far 1500$ Crazzy.....

Go stage 1's and a 38r. If you want to go bigger in the future I would go with a gated T4 setup.

Get a hold of airfish for a forged block. He is cheaper than most local places I've found. Keeping the pmrs alive will be in the tuning, but I wouldn't fear much with 160s and a 38r

Considering others with pmrs and run bigger than stage ones are making bigger power than what you are looking for...........Tuning and your driving style will be the deciding factor.

Torque numbers are what I would be the most concerned about. There's quite a few folks who have run much smaller injectors than mine, yet put up larger torque numbers... only to watch their motors go boom.

Still debating....too many options with budget in mind.
160/ 0 full force
160/30 unlimited
160/80 rosewood
160/100 full force

I'm leaning on the first two.

and adding a 38R

Larger nozzled injectors will allow you to run less timing to get the same amount of fuel in proper window vs a smaller nozzle lower pressure and better CP curve. Tuning is ALWAYS key.

You know for the cost of that 38R you could pick up a good fairly low mileage 7.3 with forged rods.

These engines are so easy to find and cheap etc if a person has real performance expectations I would just get the correct base to start with before putting time and money into something with a weak base. Now if ALL you are ever going to want in a 400HP engine OK but so few are ever happy with that for long.

Personally I would only chip exhaust intake the PMR. Then pick up a good used 7.3. Put it on a stand and install all the upgrades you will need. Studs, Springs, Injectors, HPOP Then install it. Then add the turbo as you can afford it.

You can then have a rock solid safe 475-500HP engine you can rely on.

Less timing is better ?
