if you hit it with any cleaner with amonia then it turns it purple

Why are you using ammonia based cleaners in your truck? Mines been cleaned by every idiot at every car wash....... Still good. Same tint guy for 4 years 3 trucks and 2 of my cars and all trucks both of girlfriends cars also..... Plus Florida heat... No bubbles or fade... Not crappy tint :)

im not you ***. I am saying that is what happens. unless your tint guy uses a purple tint on purpose then it should stay black or brown. take this to our other thread.

Windshield is getting tinted 50% once i find a shop locally that i feel can get it perfect the first time. but next up is a JL stealthbox for the center console, should be done by the end of the week and then i might order some parts up for the motor, and for the stealth box i do landscaping work and mowing for a guy who owns a car audio shop, so i'm getting the box at almost cost and installation and amp all for the price most can buy just the center console box for, so it's not costing me anything i just keep his lawn looking nice and woods from coming onto the lawn and he's making my truck sound good.

Ask around for a good tint shop. You meet enough people in your line of work. Whoever does it, make sure they leave a small cutout for your inspection stickers.

No inspection in ct. The guy who owns the audio shop that is installing the JL stealthbox in the center console does tinting. I might have the shop that did front windows do the windshield and sunroof

Awesome. I wish we didn't have inspection here. Just another way for the state government to get their little amount of money from each person.

No it because idiots like you drive rusted out piles of crap down the road and some of us don't like seeing it. Or having pieces of it come flying off when you hit a bump.

Sorry mr southern. We have this chit called snow up here. And since people don't think of this when they purchase a vehicle, they have to treat the roads with this stuff called salt or brine. It rots every vehicle, not just my truck. I know, hard for you southerners to understand these things that happen up here in the winter. Phil has never even seen real snow.

yah salt is a bitch. washing trucks and plows after every storm or atleast once per week in the winter helps them last much longer and so does under coating. i might have my 7.3 frame re done not sure if I want re do the whole truck or just toss fenders on it, and bed a sell it off next year for another 6.4 work truck and have two newer trucks.

New short bed is upwards of $2500 complete with tailgate and lights. Oe style bushwacker fender flares, enough vinyl to completely cover the two-tone and flares, and the equipment to put the vinyl on are about $500 total. Guess which route I'm going if I keep this truck.

I didn't have a chance to be able to clean in the bed fenders when the truck was new since I only bought it last spring. Aggravates the hell out of me that someone didn't take Better care of the body.

in your case i can understand, in my case I have an obs regular cab long bed, easy to find a whole bed or donor truck for a 1000 that's close to perfect or maybe even rust and dent free.

I just saw a rust free bed for sale in the classifieds for 850. I think it was white but no tailgate. Already has rhino liner.

Truck looks awesome. Makes me wish I went with a harley grille.

yah, thanks, they aren't cheap! your truck will look sick when its all back together. and that stance on your truck is sick with the 37's. once the chrome is off completely off the front end, and a fisher plow frame is on it i'll be able to sleep much easier at night!
