Why would the FICM fail if o replaced only these 2 sensors

if rust scale prevents cam sensor to have too much gap then the ficm can not sync

You never know when an FICM will fail so it was just a suggestion for you to check if you knew everything you did to begin with was all okay..

I've had to replace the cam sensor wiring connector. Like others have said, you need to check for FICM sync, if you don't have sync the the problem most likey is one of these sensor or sensor wiring. If you have FICM sync then your problem is elsewhere.
