Need help with a black maxx not shutting off

Hey everyone. I found a new black maxx and have swapped it in the truck. Wired it into the purple wire. But it will not shut off. It would turn on without the key sense wire hooked up from the get go. Is it the obd2 connector givin me grief? Thanks for the help

For some reason I don't think the black maxx's shut off? Does it turn on when you turn key on? Or this the first time you've powered it up?

I might be wrong on all cases though lol

Turn the switch on the junction block off. You have it set to draw power from the obd2 port.

First time it was powered up. Came right on. Last few ive handled, didnt power up till the extra wire was hooked Up. Black maxx didn't get the switch obd plug like the mini maxx

they didn't back in the day, but current/replacement blocks have the switch
