Need more light!!

One of the areas I feel like the truck is lacking is in the headlight department. I really would have thought that they would be brighter then they are. Living in the Seattle area, where it rains a fair amount, they seem almost dangerously dim in some conditions. Or maybe I am just spoiled by the HIDs on my A7. I have been doing a lot of reading about different bulbs to go into the factory housings but I cannot make up my mind. Anyone who has aftermarket bulbs have a pic from the truck at night? Anyone have a recommendation? Defiantly want them to be DOT legal.
